The USC Thornton School Christine Marie Ofiesh Honors Quartet

The USC Thornton School Christine Marie Ofiesh Honors Quartet (Roberta Yee and Maggie Zeng, violins; Kevin Hsu, viola; Stella Cho, cello) performs Haydn: Quartet in E-flat major, Opus 33, No. 2, “The Joke,” Dvorák: Quartet No. 14 in A-flat major, Opus 105, and Gabriella Smith: Carrot Revolution.

The USC Thornton Strings department is a nationally distinguished top-tier program. Its eminent artist-teachers are distinguished in both individual instruction and coaching for chamber music. Exceptional standards of professionalism in performance and teaching have been upheld for more than a century by a faculty that has included Jascha Heifetz, Gregor Piatigorsky and William Primrose. More recent faculty have included Donald McInnes, Midori Goto, Glenn Dicterow, and the chair of the Strings department, Ralph Kirshbaum.
