The Concord Trio—Endre Balogh (violin), Antony Cooke (cello), and Donna Coleman (piano)—perform Clara Schumann: Trio in G minor, Op. 17; Ravel: Trio in A minor.
With an impressive list of international concert triumphs to his credit, violinist and Sundays Live veteran Endre Balogh has performed as soloist with the Berlin Philharmonic, the Rotterdam Philharmonic, the Zürich Tonhalle Orchestra, and the Frankfurt and Basel symphonies. In the United States, he has appeared with the Los Angeles Philharmonic and the orchestras of Washington D.C., Seattle, Denver, Dallas, and Honolulu.
Cellist Antony Cooke has a multi-faceted career as a solo performer/classical recording artist, composer, and an author of books about astronomy. He is also a 30-year veteran of the Hollywood film music industry. A protégé of the legendary pedagogue Helen Just, Cooke received his training in London with artist diplomas from both the Royal College of Music and the Royal Academy of Music.
Pianist Donna Coleman is renowned for her interpretations of the music of Charles Ives, with two acclaimed recordings on the Et’Cetera (Amsterdam) label, one of which, the “Concord" Sonata, received France’s Diapason d’Or and Editor’s Choice. She maintains an unswerving devotion to Ives’s work by regularly programming his music in concert tours around the world, and she founded The Concord Trio to further this mission.
