May 8:Chamber Ensembles from Young Musicians Foundation

Chamber ensembles from the Young Musicians Foundation perform works by Barber, Beethoven, Faure, and Poulenc.

Founded in 1960 to counter the lack of chamber music training for young musicians, the Chamber Music program was created by the Young Musicians Foundation and Joanna Graudan, renowned pianist and educator, to offer coaching and performances to the music students of Southern California. Since 1989, its Chamber Music Series has been led by acclaimed concert pianist Delores Stevens, Artistic Director of both the Martha’s Vineyard Chamber Music Society and Chamber Music Palisades. The program has grown to support six ensembles, professional performance opportunities, and a competition for young composers.
