Kimaree Gilad (oboe), Iman Khosrowpour (violin), Michael Chang (viola), and Jooh Sung Jun (cello) perform Karl Stamitz: Quartet in E-flat, Benjamin Britten: Phantasy Quartet, Opus 2, and Mozart: Quartet in F, K. 370.
Oboist Kimaree Gilad returns to Sundays Live. Gilad has been featured as soloist on both coasts with the Northwest Chamber Orchestra of Seattle, the Colonial Symphony of New Jersey, and the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra. She continues to participate in summer festivals at Ojai, Music at Menlo, La Jolla, Idyllwild Arts, and Fairbanks, Alaska, and the inaugural season of the Hawaii Performing Arts Festival, where she was the instrumental program director from 2005 to 2010. Gilad has worked with such notable musicians as Leonard Berstein, Plácido Domingo, Luciano Pavarotti, Yo-Yo Ma, Neville Marriner, and Dudley Moore. Gilad has appeared with the LA Phil, Deutsche Oper Berlin, New York City Opera, LA Bach Festival, Musica Angelica, and the Los Angeles Baroque Orchestra. Gilad is currently professor of oboe at California State University, Northridge.
